Legislative Positions

As an organization, EMSAAC is agency agnostic – meaning we have no opinion on what agencies should carry out the services, only that they maintain high-quality standards and are carried out in a coordinated way that ensures EMS services are available to everyone.

However, we do keep a close eye on any proposed legislation or policy changes that could affect things like a LEMSA’s scope of work, services, and budgets. As an association comprising the leadership of all of California’s LEMSAs, EMSAAC understands emergency medical services like no other group. We are happy to connect with any California legislator to answer any questions about emergency medical services.
